Steps to the Mirror Test

1. Top front teeth stick out, protrude or are "bucked"

2. Top front teeth cover more than 25% of the bottom front teeth when the back teeth are biting together

3. Top front teeth grow in behind the bottom front teeth

4. A weak chin or a prominent chin

5. A space exists between the top and bottom front teeth with the back teeth biting together

6. Crowded, overlapped, misplaced teeth or extra teeth

7. Some teeth don't meet at all

8. Baby teeth falling out too early or very late

9. The centers of the top and bottom front teeth don't line up

10. Often biting the cheek or roof of the mouth

11. Finger sucking or tongue sucking habit continuing after 6 years of age old

12. Difficulty chewing or biting with teeth that don't meet evenly on both sides

13. Teeth wearing unevenly

14. Jaws that shift off center when the teeth bite together

15. Excessive spaces between teeth that persist after the top permanent canine teeth appear

16. Embarrassing teeth or smile often hidden by hands
